Jon has 15 years of Architectural experience across various sectors for several high profile design practices where he successfully delivered notable new build, refurbishment and heritage projects. He has a passion for craftsmanship and brings a skilful,  enthusiastic problem-solving approach to delivering aspirational buildings and places. ​​​​​​​​

Before joining MailenDesign in 2022, Jon was Director at Jo Cowen Architects and was responsible for prestigious and complex residential projects for leading developers, ranging from significant new-build mixed-use housing developments; Built to Rent housing masterplans; new build affordable housing for council-owned sites and delivery of new homes using Modern Methods of Construction. Before this, Jon held leadership roles at Morrow + Lorraine Architects and Ryder Architecture.​​​​​​​​

 

Jon has been a member of our RIBA North East awards shortlisting panel and was on the RIBA Northern Network awards judging panel.

Outside the studio, he is a season ticket holder at Harlequins and can often be found honing his DIY skills to complete his home renovation project. In his remaining spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and is a keen mountain biker and enjoys exploring the Thames path and the Royal Parks with his two daughters in tow.
