Extension and refurbishment of family home in Surrey.
This project creates an open flow of ground floor spaces in a semi-detached house, connecting the principle elements of family life and increasing first floor bedroom space with a new bay window.
The kitchen is set at the heart of the remodelled home, with clear views to open dining and play areas. Sliding doors provide direct connections to the new garden terrace, where a continuous worksurface and timber flooring unify interior and exterior.
Full-height glazing frames views of the garden’s mature trees and enables natural light to wash inside. The crisp brick form acknowledges the proportions of the existing building to compose a carefully tailored and flexible new whole.
